Quick update: I spent the last year getting a masters degree. I finished at the end of July and am getting back into research-mode.
Here's something interesting that I happened to spot. I was looking at this copy of the Count's portrait. I zoomed in for a better look at details.
Upon zooming in and looking at the Count's face, I noticed his right ear. Either the lobe is much longer than the left OR he is wearing an earring. Either way, I never noticed it before. It would make sense that he would wear an earring since he seemed big into gems and various accessories (jeweled buckles, rings, etc). Let me know what you think in the comments. Ear lobe? Earring? Nothing?
Where is my research and work at?
I am in the process of getting book chapters written, although there are some definite gaps. My research is aimed at finding things that have slipped through the cracks, confirming historical accounts, and finding new primary source material. I am also in the process of figuring out where I'm going to be traveling for a future research trip around various areas of Europe (at some point in the future).
The facebook group is fairly inactive, but there have been a number of new people joining. Maybe someone will provide some useful information. It seems that lately its been people interested in the Jacques St. Germain story from NOLA - which I can't find any primary source material for; I think it's just a fictional story at this point. I'm all for being proven wrong when it comes to a vampire story. Do it people. Prove that it's not a fiction.
I'd love to answer questions that people might have regarding the Count.
